Technology
The Technology curriculum at P.S. 309 consists of engaging STEM related learning activities to promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity which are all the basic skills scholars need as Technology continues to emerge around us. Some topics of study include: Digital Citizenship, Everfi’s Compassion Project, Internet Safety and Research, Multimedia presentations using Google Slides, Essential Coding, Touch Typing, and Maker Challenges such as “Comic Con Costume Design”, “The Great Chain Race”, “Cardboard Arcade”.
As we begin the 2020-2021 school year, we are pleased to continue to use our P.S. 309 Google Classroom domain as our collaborative learning community platform for students in grades K-5. Google Apps for Education provides our students access to online classrooms, an email account, and Google Drive (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and drawings). As a reminder all our students have Google Apps accounts (including Gmail) built into P.S.309's private domain. If possible, take some time to login in with your child and check it out! Follow this format for student emails depending on grade:
